League of Women's Voters Hosts Luzerne County Judges Forum
The League of Women’s Voters hosted a forum of candidates at King’s College Burke Auditorium last Thursday evening. The event was moderated by League President and event organizer, Cheryl Dehaut. The 7 candidates, veighing for 6 open seats, Mike Vough, Fred Peirantoni, Molly Hanlon Mirabito, Joseph Sklarosky, Jr., Lesa Gelb, Richard Hughes and Jennifer Rogers, had a chance to answer questions publicly on various topics relating to the election.

We covered this hard news event as a class. For my part, I filmed clips and interviews with a Flip HD camera. As a class, we all shared what we captured on either video, audio or in notes and that used the collaborated pieces to write a story in our choice of formats. I chose radio and used interviews of a judge and audience member for my sound bites. I recorded my voice over with my iPod touch and converted them to mp3 files. I compiled all my sound clips in Audacity for editing.
ReplyDeleteThings I could have done differently: Possibly used a sound bite using natural sound, and also used a sound clip of one of the judges while they were speaking during the forum.
