The
Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce, partnered with ChamberChoice, Blue Cross of Northeast PA, and the Wilkes-Barre YMCA, held its annual Heathy Workplace Awards at a Walk/Run for Business at the River Common in Downtown Wilkes-Barre on Monday, October 17, 2011. The
YMCA held the kick-off for its Fit to be Tried 100-day Challenge at the event.
For this hard news video piece, I went to the event at the River Common in Wilkes-Barre the day of the event. There, I selected people to interview and captured the interviews and additional footage with a Flip HD video camera. I used my iPod touch to record my voice overs, and I edited and created my video in Windows Movie maker.
ReplyDeleteThings I would have done differently:
1) I would have interviewed people under the shelter of the walking bridge to cut down on the wind.
2) I would have added more variety to the piece by not just using the interviews one after another. I would have used the interview overlayed over other video footage of the event.
3) I would have used different editing software like Adobe Final Cut Pro or VideoPad Video Editor Professional.
4) I would have used a tripod, so the video would not have been so shaky at times.
